RCS hits iPhone in Beta 2, I start using two phones, and some links too [The Bulletin - 29th June, 2024]

The Bulletin
for 29th June, 2024

Hey hey hey,

This week, I returned to carrying two phones: one Android phone, one iPhone (paired to an Apple Watch). Best of both worlds, if you will! This will allow me to test everything without needing to keep moving SIM cards back and forth, which has proven to be an annoying first world problem these past few years.

Regardless, I'll probably do a thing on my setup at some point, but for now screenshots are at the end of this email!

Either way, as I write this, it's very early Friday morning (for me). I had to do this thing ahead of time as I'm slammed the next couple days and I was worried I couldn't get this out on time. Well, here we are! Thank goodness.

Your Bulletin is below... let's roll!

Upcoming Events

Soon, it'll be that time again. Here are the events coming up for the month of July 2024!

Things I found across the net...

A podcast, and a few little things I found.

For additional links and commentary from me, consider following my blog here! I update my blog regularly throughout the week with all my latest thoughts, which I may not necessarily include here in The Bulletin. Come join me!

What I'm listening to...

I happen to listen to a lot of music. Here’s what I’m currently listening to—usually on repeat. Here’s what I’ve got for you, for the week of 29th June, 2024

Thanks to Odesli for making these links platform agnostic! For library stats, you can find me on last.fm.

For those who wanted to see the setup I've got going for dual phones, there you go! One SIM is on Verizon, and the other is on T-Mobile, both go through US Mobile as its service provider. I plan to move both lines to AT&T (again, through US Mobile) eventually, but that's a while off yet.

Anyways, that's all I have for you this week! Stay safe, and have a great week ahead! See you next time.

Yours on time for the second week in a row,
Slade

The Bulletinfor 23 Feb, 2025 Hey there, This week, I spent most of the time arguing with my carrier about my RCS issues (see blog section) and a bunch of other crap that has made me want to 1) switch mobile platforms altogether and/or 2) leave my carrier. So hopefully we get a resolution this coming week! I'm going to throw in the towel here soon, though... This weekend, my friends Fiona and Arsene came up from the city to visit me and see the Bennington, Vermont area. We had a lovely...

The Bulletinfor 13th July, 2024 Hey there, Apologies for releasing this email a little later than usual, it was a pretty long weekend and I didn't have access to my computer for a bit. I had a great little trip and I've got some exciting news to share from that which you'll get to hear about very soon. I promise. Anywho, besides being blonde again, there's not much new going on in my life this week. I played a lot of Stardew Valley and Hi-Fi Rush, both of which are fantastic games. So instead...
